Best Pumpkin Patches in DFW: A Few Fall Favorites for 2026

It may still feel like summer in North Texas, but pumpkin season is already here.

Pumpkin patches and fall festivals are starting to open around Dallas-Fort Worth, and there are plenty of choices depending on whether you want a simple place to pick out a pumpkin and take a few pictures or an entire day of hayrides, corn mazes and fall activities.

Here are a few pumpkin patches and fall destinations spread around the DFW area to put on your list for 2026.

Autumn at the Arboretum — Dallas

If you're looking for pumpkins and some pretty incredible fall pictures, Autumn at the Arboretum is hard to beat.

The Dallas Arboretum uses more than 100,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash throughout the gardens, including its well-known Pumpkin Village. The 2026 theme is Harvest Hues, inspired by modern and contemporary artists.

This year's event runs September 19 through November 1.

Dallas Farmers Market Pumpkin Patch — Dallas

If you'd rather stay closer to downtown, the Dallas Farmers Market Pumpkin Patch is another fun option.

The patch features more than 20 varieties of Texas-grown pumpkins, and this year they're adding some extra fun on October 3 with a carved-pumpkin contest, pumpkin-pie-eating contest, petting zoo, face painting, live music and even a giant-pumpkin weight-guessing contest.

The pumpkin patch opens September 19.

Hall's Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze — Grapevine

For more of a traditional pumpkin-farm experience, Hall's Pumpkin Farm in Grapevine has been a longtime DFW favorite.

You'll find pumpkins, farm animals, hayrides, plenty of fall photo opportunities and a corn maze that you can even tackle after dark with a flashlight.

Hall's 2026 season runs October 2 through November 1.

The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm at Preston Trail Farms — Gunter

If you're farther north, The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm at Preston Trail Farms in Gunter gives you the full farm experience.

Along with pumpkins, there's a petting farm, hayride, hay maze and plenty of photo opportunities. Weekend admission also includes the farm train.

The 2026 pumpkin season runs September 19 through November 25.

Yesterland Farm — Canton

If you want something considerably bigger than a pumpkin patch, Yesterland Farm in Canton can easily become an entire fall outing.

There's a pumpkin patch and corn maze, along with more than 30 rides and attractions. During the season, Yesterland also offers its nighttime Spooktacular Nights.

The 2026 fall season runs September 19 through November 8.

Blase Family Farm — Rockwall

On the east side of DFW, Blase Family Farm in Rockwall offers a smaller farm experience with pumpkins, a petting zoo, hayride, hay maze, wooded trail and fall photo areas.

They use a signup system to help manage crowds and parking, so this is one you'll want to plan before you go.

The 2026 pumpkin patch runs September 19 through November 1.

Pumpkin Patch on the Corner — Plano

Not every pumpkin outing needs to turn into an all-day event.

Pumpkin Patch on the Corner at Christ United Methodist Church on Coit Road is a simple community pumpkin patch where you can stop by, take some fall pictures and pick out a pumpkin without making a long drive to one of the larger farms.

The 2026 patch runs September 28 through October 31 and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Mainstay Farm — Cleburne

For the Fort Worth side of DFW, Mainstay Farm in Cleburne is one of the bigger experiences.

Its Pumpkin Fall Days include pumpkins and fall photo setups along with hayrides, jumping pillows, rides and plenty of other activities. On select October evenings, Mainstay stays open after dark for Mainstay Nights.

The 2026 season runs September 20 through November 7.

Sometimes Simple Is Better

One thing I like about pumpkin season in DFW is that you don't necessarily have to go to one of the big farms.

Community and church pumpkin patches pop up all over the Metroplex. They're often perfect when you really just want to pick out a pumpkin, take a few pictures and enjoy a little bit of fall.

Because let's be honest. It's Texas. It may still be 90 degrees while you're doing it. 😂
